Rape Crisis Center Campus Services:

"Drop In" Hours where students can meet with Campus Advocate without appointment.
- Available in Counseling and Psychological Services Office ​​
- Fall 2021 Semester hours:​​
- Mondays 2:30pm-4:30pm
- Thursdays 8:30am to 10:30am

Provide and explain options for Reporting to the University of New Haven or the local Police Department

Accompaniment to the local police department to report a Sexual Assault crime
-
Accompaniment to the Campus Police or Dean of Students Office at the U. of New Haven

Accompaniment to the local hospital to receive medical attention/follow-up OR collect evidence for the Sexual Assault Kit

Advisement when formally reporting in an investigation to the University of New Haven
-
Psychoeducation in a 1:1 setting (Coping Skills, SA, IPV, Healthy Relationships, Boundaries, Trust, Etc.)

Advocacy and assistance within the court system and due process

Referrals to Mental Health Counseling (On or off campus)

General Advocacy

Will keep names and information confidential (except if there is a threat of harming oneself or others)

The College Advocate will not approach a student they may be working with if they see one another on campus. This is to ensure that the student feels comfortable but can absolutely approach or acknowledge the College Advocate on campus if they choose to.
